Who we are
Fab 42 Garage Doors is an owner-operated residential & commercial garage door business serving North Alabama. You can reach us on (256) 967-9642.
What we collect
If you contact us — what you type into the contact form:
- Your name and phone number (required to call you back)
- Your email address, if you give one
- The service you need, how urgent it is, and your address or town
- Whatever you write in the message box
- Which page of this site you submitted the form from, and the website that referred you here, if any
While you browse — basic usage measurements, collected by this site itself and sent to no one else:
- Which pages were viewed, taps on the call button, and — if you use the contact form — which service option was selected
- The website that referred the visit (the site name only, never the full address)
- Approximate area (city level), taken from the network request
- Device type — phone, tablet or computer
- A random code that groups one browser’s visits within a single day. It is built so that it cannot connect your visits across different days, and it cannot be traced back to you
We do not store IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or advertising identifiers, and this site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. There is no third-party analytics service on this site — no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, nothing that follows you elsewhere.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry and quote the work. We also look at which pages, services and towns enquiries come from, and which pages of the site people find useful, so we know where we are useful and what to improve. That is the only analysis we do, and it never involves contacting you for anything other than your enquiry.
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to a marketing list.
Where it goes
Your submission is stored in our database and emailed to us so we see it quickly. Three companies handle it on our behalf, all in the United States:
- Vercel — hosts this website
- Convex — stores form submissions and the usage measurements described above
- Resend — delivers the notification email
The service area map is embedded from Google Maps. Loading that map means your browser contacts Google, and Google’s own privacy policy applies to that request. Nothing you type into the form is sent to Google.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months so we have a record of work discussed and quoted, then deleted. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we will. Usage measurements are kept for up to 12 months; since they carry no identity, there is nothing in them to connect to you afterwards either.
Getting your data removed
Call (256) 967-9642 or email info@fab42garagedoors.com and ask. Tell us the name and phone number you used and we will delete the record and confirm. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold.
Children
This site is for people arranging garage door work. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top.
